Step 1: Begin by using the VITA Valueguide 3D-MASTER to make an initial choice by comparing shade samples to the natural tooth. This step allows for the determination of the degree of lightness on a scale from 0 to 5.

Step 2: After identifying the degree of lightness in step 1, you proceed to make a detailed choice within that range using the corresponding VITA Chroma/Hueguide. This step provides precise information about the chroma and hue of the selected tooth shade.

The Linearguide's systematic arrangement and modern design make the selection process self-explanatory and efficient. It includes 26 natural tooth shades and three additional shades for tooth whitening (VITA Bleached Shades) to cater to a wide range of dental procedures. Additionally, it offers the flexibility to create intermediate shades by mixing, enabling customization to meet unique patient requirements.

• Compare the chroma (color intensity) and hue (color tone) of the tooth with the samples in the Chroma/Hueguide.
• Select the specific chroma and hue combination that matches the natural tooth shade within the determined degree of lightness.

Final Shade Determination:

• The combination of the Valueguide selection from Step 1 and the Chroma/Hueguide selection in Step 2 will provide the final and precise tooth shade for your dental procedure.

• Customization (Optional):

• If necessary, you can create intermediate shades by mixing different shade samples from the guide to achieve a more customized match for your patient.
